3.23.4-cld - Support for cloud content types
This cloud-only release brings support for the new cloud-only content types.
🤔 What content types?
We’re talking about the new elements you can put into the space hierarchy on cloud:
Whiteboards
Databases
Smart Links
Folders
Until now, Slide Presenter did not deal with these content types. From now on, you can present them as well.
🤩 What do these content types look like in my presentation?
For Folders and Smart Links, we can show them nicely:
Folders get a headline in the presentation, followed by the content of the folder.
Smart Links are either shown as a normal link or, if Slide Presenter recognizes the URL, are displayed as inline content. This works for YouTube videos and Google Docs, for now. If you have wishes about what platforms we should support for smart Smart Links, just tell us!
Unfortunately, for Whiteboards and Databases, our artistic freedom is quite limited. We show a symbol illustration and the title and link to the corresponding content in Confluence. The Confluence REST API still lacks any way for us to get the content of a Whiteboard or a Database to display 🤷‍♂️
🚤 Faster Content Loading
We’ve also integrated new REST APIs for fetching the content, making the content tree creation faster with less calls.
🛡️ Security Updates
As always, we’ve updated our dependencies to the newest stable versions to stay save and secure.
Happy presenting!
