3.22.3-cld - Better layout & video support for cloud

After releasing better page layout support for Data Center, we bring these new features to cloud as well - and some smaller improvements on the way.

🏦 Better support for multi-column layouts and 16:9 slides

We’ve added new layout rules for pages with layouts so your content can shine. After activating the new theme option “Start new slide on multi-column layout”, the following rules are applied:

  • Each Page Layout Section starts a new slide

  • If there is one headline starting one of the columns, it gets pulled out of the column layout and placed above it.

Combined with new styling options for single column page layouts on 16:9 slides, these new layouts look really good.

Regardless of whether you activated the new theme option, a new gap of 16 pixels is applied between layout columns. If you want to get rid of this gap, follow this explanation.

🎥 Better support for video attachments

From now on, video attachments on Confluence pages will turn into an interactive video player in the presentation.

🟩 Status Macros correctly formatted

Finally, Confluence Status macros are now formatted in the same colors and style as in the normal Confluence view.

🐛 Bugfix: personal space keys with special characters supported now

This release fixes a bug where Presenter was too tight on checking space keys for validity: as it turns out, personal spaces can have special characters in their keys, presumably from migrated data. From now on, you can present from personal spaces even with wild space keys!

🛡️ Minor security updates

As always, we’ve updated our dependencies to the latest security patches.

Happy presenting!
